About BadaBanker

BadaBanker is an independent banking education website for Indian savers, borrowers and small-business owners. It explains banking terms, compares financial choices and provides calculators to help readers ask better questions before committing their money.

Most banking information in India is written either by banks selling a product or by regulators writing for other bankers. BadaBanker sits in between: it takes the rules, rates and documents that banks actually use and explains them in plain language, with worked examples in rupees.

About Archana

Archana Dayal, founder of BadaBanker

I am Archana Dayal, the founder and author of BadaBanker. I spent 14 years in Indian banking, including work as a loan officer and credit appraisal specialist. Today I am a full-time writer, and I use that background to explain loans, deposits and banking processes in plain language.

I hold an MBA in International Business and an MA in English from Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar University, Agra. The first helps with the numbers behind loans and investments; the second helps me turn them into plain, readable English.

Credit appraisal is the part of banking where a loan application is checked against the numbers: income, cash flow, security and repayment capacity. That is why many BadaBanker guides go into the same documents and ratios a bank uses to decide on a loan, such as DSCR, CMA data, project reports and stock statements and drawing power. The aim is to help you see your application the way a lender will.

The professional background above is my own account of my experience. BadaBanker is not an official publication of the RBI, a bank or any financial regulator. I am not a SEBI-registered investment adviser.

How articles are researched

Every guide starts from the official source rather than from other websites. The sources cited most often across BadaBanker are:

Where a figure comes from a bank, a news report or a comparison site, the article says so. Worked examples use stated assumptions so you can repeat the calculation with your own numbers.

Editorial approach

Financial rules and bank offers change. Every article shows its publication date, and when an important rule or rate changes after publication, a dated update note is added at the top of the article. Check an article’s date and the original bank, regulator or government source before acting.

Examples and calculator results are illustrations, not promises of eligibility, approval, returns or savings. A lender’s written terms and repayment schedule control the actual product.

Corrections are welcome. If you find a calculation error, outdated rule or unclear statement, send the article address and the relevant official source to msmebanktool@gmail.com. Please do not send bank account numbers, passwords, OTPs or identity documents.
